Things you might be wondering…
Are children allowed to dine at maison?

We are creating a different experience to other restaurants, and so unfortunately, we ask that all our diners are over 18yrs.

ps. Nearly 18 is not 18!

Is there a dress code?

Whilst we don’t enforce a dress code, we encourage you to make the most of the occasion and enjoy dining in style in an elegant setting.

Do you cater for allergies/dietary requirements?

We have one tasting menu. Due to the nature of our restaurant, our no menu concept and the seasonality of our ingredients, we can only cater to allergies. 

However, we are able to do a vegetarians or vegan option – plus we are able to make dishes gluten or dairy free BUT we do need to know at the time of booking.  We do also respect dietary requirements due to religious reasons.

Please DO NOT say you’re ‘vegan’ if you’re not, as it isn’t just dairy!  Please note,  we ask that you are open-minded as we do not consider dislikes a dietary requirement.

How long does the dining experience last?
You can arrive FROM 18:30 and we start serving food from 19:30, so you need to arrive before then. If you wish to have cocktails, we ask that you arrive before 19:15.
 

For booking taxis, we aim to finish around 23:00, so anything from then is good.   However, if you want to finish with after-dinner cocktails or tea/coffee, give yourself an extra 15 mins, so you’re not rushing.  We stop serving alcohol at 00:00.

Do you have disabled access?

maison is an old, Grade II listed building.  So unfortunately, we do not have disabled toilets and some of our areas are not wheelchair accessible, due to steps and narrow walkways.

Your largest table size is 4, can I book for 5 or 6 across two tables?

Our largest table accommodates up to 4 guests. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings of 5 or 6 guests split across two tables. We understand you would want to dine together, which naturally leads to moving between tables and conversations across the room. This can disrupt the experience for other guests, so we’re unable to offer this arrangement.

Do you do private hire?

Unfortunately no. For the foreseeable future we have decided to hold off doing private hire.

Do you have parking?

Yes we do.  If you wish to leave your car over night, please let us know as the gate is locked at night and if we go out the next day and lock the gate, you will not have access to your vehicle. 

What is your cancellation policy?

1) ALL guests must be over the age of 18 years old.

2) A deposit of £40 per person is payable at the time of booking, otherwise the booking will be released.

3) Deposits are non-refundable.

4) If you need to move your booking and use the same deposit, this can be done up until 7 days before your booking (by midday, via email) and be used in the same booking window, subject to availablity. 

5) In the event that a refund is granted, 5% will be deducted to cover our merchant services.

6) For tables larger than 2, if your guests drop out, you will be charged for that seat.

Can I book a table for 19:45?

Unfortunately not. We aim to start serving at 19:30, so if you are late, you may miss out on some of your meal.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Unfortunately, no. (see more details)

Do you allow dogs?

Unfortunately no, unless it is a guide dog.

Do you do corkage?
