the experience

With around five tables,  including Ben’s Table in our own kitchen, maison is intimate by design, offering a service that feels less like dining out and more like warmly welcoming you into OUR story. Your evening begins as you gather around Ben’s Table, to join us for a welcome drink.  It’s a moment to sip, mingle, and share stories with us and the other guests,  all while Ben works his quiet magic on the finishing touches of your meal.

Open four nights a week, you are invited to arrive anytime from 18:30 (though Lornette’s preference is 18:33, as she’s always late).  Drinks will be followed by an an 8-ish course, blind-tasting journey (£100pp for the food) from 19:30, where you can be fully immersed into the rest of your evening, tasting Ben’s incredible creations. 

When it comes to selecting wines, we don’t do a pairing, but simply recommend you drink what you like! However, we can point you in a direction of red, white, rosé…even orange (skin contact).  As each dish is served, Lornette will explain the ingredients and flavours behind it.

We’re happy to share the menu with you at the beginning of the evening, but please keep in mind that the dishes may change right up until they hit the plate. It’s all part of the surprise and delight!
